How to Transition to Vegan Lifestyle
Cutting out animal products from your diet may seem like a big decision to make. Once you do make that decision, where do you even begin? It’s important to remember to change your diet at whatever pace you feel comfortable with and figure out what works best for you to maintain the lifestyle. Here are some tips on how to transition to a vegan lifestyle:
1. Do your research! Not only will this help you go back to your “why” but it will also help you be more informed on what nutrients you need to be at an optimal health.
2. Begin by adding things to your diet before taking it away. This includes beans, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes. Add
3. Get inspiration. Watching vegan Youtubers, buying a vegan cookbook, looking up recipes on Pinterest are just a few examples of ways that you can spark ideas for meals to try.
4. Figure out your staple items. Try making a list of staples that you can always go back to (You can read our Vegan Master Grocery List (if you need inspiration)! It is always fun to try fun, new vegan items at your local health food store but that can sometimes be costly and most times, not very healthy. Having a list of go-to foods can help you be most cost-effective and nutritious.

6. Remember that it is YOUR lifestyle. If you slowly transition, that is okay. If you cut out animal products all at once, that is alright too. Remember that each journey is different and there is no right or wrong.
